Full time employees are eligible for YLabs health insurance benefits which include medical, dental, vision and workers compensation insurance. You may also enroll qualified domestic partners and children under the age of 26.
YLabs works hard to ensure that all employees stay healthy and happy. All full-time employees have unlimited paid vacation, starting from their hire date and subject to management approval. We hope that you spend this time finding rest, balance, and relaxation.
Stay in the know
We believe in an open door policy for staff and their supervisors. Teams work together to set up daily, weekly, or bi-weekly check-ins so everyone can stay in the loop and move quickly. Weekly office hours are available with the Director of Programs as an open space for conversation for all employees, and our weekly lunch meetings and email newsletters help us to share our blockers, learnings, and successes.
Put a little away
It’s always the right time to start saving. For full-time, permanent employees working at least 35 hours per week, we provide a Simple IRA retirement saving program with an employer match of up to 3% of your total compensation for the period. Employees can make contributions up to the yearly federal limit.
Grow baby, grow
We aim to support our team as they strive to achieve their professional goals. We offer reimbursement for training opportunities that are aligned with their professional objectives and encourage our staff to grow their skill set. Some training, such as training on the safeguarding and protection of children and vulnerable adults, is mandatory.
What does a day at the museum, wine tasting, or kayaking around Bodega Bay all have in common? They’re all past excursions that we’ve taken as a part of our quarterly inspiration days. We also make sure to celebrate birthdays, indulge in spontaneous happy hours, and throw a holiday party that is as full of joy as it is tacos.
